We have come to meet so many children who will always be toddlers and did not live long enough to go to kindergarten. I will need a BOX of tissues when Catherine starts kindergarten in the fall.

I also remember the first time post-diagnosis that Catherine had a fever spike. They told us to take her straight to the ER. She was as hot as a casserole that had just been removed from the oven and screaming her head off. Halfway to the ER, she lost consciousness. Robby was already driving like a madman, so I hesitated to tell him to speed up. That was one of the many trips to the ER when we carried her in and they took one look at us, took her out of our arms and carried her striaght into a treatment room. No signing in, no giving them insurance cards to copy, no waiting. I was two week shy of giving birth to Sabrina, so I just hobbled along behind her.

I pray that we never go through that again and that no more kids ever have to go through that.

We also rejoice with every birthday. And I usually cry.

Happy birthday Anna!!Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10755891185200879035noreply@blogger.com
